The type of personal information we collect

We currently collect and process the following information:

  • Email addresses (should you email us).
  • Website user stats (the numbers of visitors to a site, as well as the number from specific geographic locations) generated by WordPress.com, the platform the website is hosted on.

How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you when you contact us via email about the Buzzy Paws website.

We use the information that you have given us in order to:

1. send you a password for the password protected page, or pages, and to send you password updates.

2. send you blog pages when they are published.

3. keep a record of people who have registered for the book club page in order to ensure content is age-appropriate and that parents register for children under 16 years old.

4. reply to any emails you send either to Buzzy Zooms (buzzyzooms@hotmail.com) about lessons; to Quiet Paws (quietpaws@hotmail.com) about the book club or to Buzzy Paws (buzzypaws@hotmail.com) about the blog or about other pages.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information is that we have a legitimate interest, as we will use the email address which you have used to contact us, to email you passwords and password updates and blog pages as they are published. We will also use them to reply to emails you send to any of the email addresses linked to the website.

How we store your personal information

Your information is securely stored, accessed only by the author of the Buzzy Paws website and will not be passed on to a third party. We will keep your email address whilst you would still like to receive these emails. If you would no longer like to do this, we will delete your email address once you have informed us of this decision.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
